AI Policy

The short version

• The AI only ever sees the chat. Your email, payment details, IP address and account never reach it.
• Phone numbers, email addresses, links, passwords, card and bank numbers in the chat are removed before the AI reads it.
• Your chat is deleted after 7 days.
• Your report is deleted after 45 days.
• We email you the full report, so you can keep it for as long as you like.

What the AI sees

To write your report, our AI provider receives:

• The messages in your chat, with each person shown by the name the chat uses for them.
• The choices you made in setup: the type of chat, which person is you, the relationship label, your optional question and the report language.

It never receives your email address, payment information, IP address, the cookie that identifies your browser, or anything else about your account.

What we remove before the AI reads it

Before any message is sent to the AI, we automatically replace these with a placeholder such as ‹number› or ‹email›:

• Phone numbers and email addresses
• Links
• Passwords, PINs, one-time codes, API keys and similar secrets
• Card numbers and bank account numbers (IBANs)

Photos, videos, voice notes and stickers are not sent; only their count is used in your statistics. The same redaction applies to the quotes shown in your report.

Redaction is automatic and catches the common formats. Unusually written details can slip through, so please don't upload a chat you wouldn't want read.

Screenshots

For Instagram and Messenger you upload screenshots instead of an export. To read the text in them, the screenshot images go to our AI provider as they are, so anything visible in them is seen at that step. We delete the screenshots as soon as they're read (within an hour at most). The messages read from them then go through the same redaction as any other chat. Crop out anything you'd rather not share before uploading.

How long we keep things

• The file you upload: never stored. We read it once in memory to extract the messages.
• Screenshots: deleted as soon as they're read, within an hour at most.
• Your chat (messages and statistics): deleted automatically 7 days after upload. After that, new reports and follow-up questions on that chat are no longer possible.
• Your report: deleted automatically 45 days after it was made, together with anything left of the chat it came from.
• Unpaid previews: deleted with their chat after 7 days.

You don't have to wait: you can delete any report and its chat right away from your reports page.

Your copy of the report

When your full report is ready, we email it to you, with the whole text and the quotes it uses. That email is yours: it stays in your inbox after we delete the report from our servers, so you can read it again whenever you like. The email contains quotes from your chat, so think before forwarding it.

The one exception: if a report touches on safety concerns such as abuse or self-harm, we don't email its contents, because an inbox may be seen by someone else. You can still read it here until it's deleted.

Training

We don't use your chats or reports to train AI models. Our AI provider is DeepSeek, based in China; its own terms govern how it handles API data. See the Privacy Policy.

What the AI is and isn't

Reports are written by AI for entertainment and reflection. They can be wrong, and they are not therapy, legal, medical or relationship advice. If a chat suggests someone may be at risk, the report switches to a careful tone and shows support resources instead of jokes.
